What is the Use of Account Deletion?

If you no longer need the account, and want to reduce your digital footprint to protect your privacy, you can use CoinEx account deletion function to erase your personal data.

 

How to Apply for Account Deletion?

1. Visit CoinEx official website (https://www.coinex.com), log in to your account, and select [Security Settings] from the dropdown menu under the [Avatar] icon in the top-right corner.

 

2. Scroll down to "Advanced Settings" on the "Security Settings" page and click [Delete] next to "Account Management".

 

3. Read the reminder carefully, confirm your account details, and click [Apply for Deletion].

 

Notes:

1. Once your account is successfully deleted, all current logins will be logged out.

2. After applying for account deletion, all security tools (TOTP/phone number/Passkey) bound to your account will be disabled, and you can link the phone number to other CoinEx accounts.

3. From the date of deletion, all referral relationships to the current account will be invalid.

4. After applying for account deletion, the ID information, transaction records and other related data in the current account will be permanently deleted by the system and cannot be retrieved, and CoinEx will no longer provide any services to this account.

 

Things to Keep in Mind

1. Your application for CoinEx account deletion is irrevocable once submitted. Please think twice before you proceed.

2. If there is any deposit or withdrawal in progress or uncredited, please DO NOT apply for account deletion, otherwise these assets will not be recovered.

 

Why You Can't Apply for Account Deletion

Please verify the account status again and confirm that the current account does not have any of the following conditions, otherwise you cannot apply for account deletion.

1. The account status is abnormal, e.g. account frozen, stolen, or illegal transactions and operation records detected.

2. There are pending orders or open positions in the account.

3. The assets in the account have not been completely settled, with outstanding debts awaiting settlement.

4. The Est. value of remaining assets exceeds 20 USD.

5. There are unclaimed or activated vouchers or bonuses in the account.

6. Security tools (e.g. email, phone number, TOTP) have been modified within the past 7 days.

7. There are sub-accounts not yet deleted.

 

How to Apply for Account Reactivation?

After applying for account deletion, your account cannot be retrieved, and CoinEx will no longer provide any services to this account. Please think twice before applying for account deletion.
