What Should I Do When Deposit Is Suspended Due to Wallet Maintenance

What should I do when deposit is suspended?

CoinEx may temporarily suspend deposit services under certain circumstances. The duration of the suspension will depend on the specific situation. If deposits are suspended due to wallet maintenance, you can choose other available public networks for your deposits. Meanwhile, you can stay updated on the wallet service status through the following methods:

1. Click HERE to check the deposit service status for each cryptocurrency.

2. Turn on the “Deposit Resumption Reminder” on the deposit page. We will notify you as soon as the service resumes.

Note: During wallet maintenance, there may be delays in deposits. It is not recommended to make deposits. Once the service resumes, deposits will be credited automatically. If the deposit is still suspended after resumption, please submit a ticket for assistance.

Why is deposit suspended?

1. Network Upgrade

Network upgrades are typically initiated by the project team to improve blockchain performance, reduce gas fees, or fix technical vulnerabilities. In such cases, CoinEx will suspend deposit services for that network until the upgrade is completed and the network is stable.

2. Hard Fork

To protect your funds during a hard fork, CoinEx will temporarily suspend deposit services for the related networks until it is clear which chain will be the dominant blockchain for broadcasting transactions.

3. Smart Contract/Token Migration

Smart contract migration is the process of replacing old smart contracts with new ones on the blockchain network, while token migration is when a token is transferred from one blockchain to another. If a smart contract or token migration is required, we will temporarily suspend deposit services for the affected cryptos until the migration is completed.

4. Token Delisting

Before delisting a crypto, CoinEx will release an announcement in advance and gradually terminate deposits for that crypto.

Please refer to CoinEx Announcement Center: Assets > Delisting for more updates.

5. Airdrop Snapshot

CoinEx will suspend deposits for specific crypto when capturing airdrop snapshots to guarantee all user balances are reflected precisely for fair reward distribution. Services will resume after airdrop rewards are distributed.

Please refer to CoinEx Announcements: Assets > Project Maintenance for more updates.

In addition to the scenarios mentioned above, CoinEx will also evaluate whether to suspend deposit services based on project security, market fluctuations, and other factors.
