How to Bind Passkey (Web)

Passkey Setup Requirements

1. You can set up a passkey on the following devices:

  • Computers running Windows 10 / macOS Ventura or later versions
  • Mobile devices running iOS 16.0.0 / Android 7.0 or later versions
  • USB security keys supporting the FIDO2 protocol

2. Your computer or mobile device also needs to have a FIDO-compatible browser, such as:

  • Chrome 109 or later versions
  • Safari 16 or later versions
  • Edge 109 or later versions
  • Firefox 122 or later versions

3. To create and use a passkey, you may also need to enable the following features:

  • Bluetooth: If you want to use a passkey on your phone to log in to another computer, you must enable this feature.
  • iCloud Keychain: You will be redirected to enable iCloud Keychain when setting up a passkey on Apple devices.
  • Google Password Manager: To store passkeys in Google, go to Google Password Manager and enable the "Save Passkeys" option.

 

How to Add a Passkey?

1. Visit CoinEx's official website (https://www.coinex.com), log in to your account, and select [Security Settings] from the dropdown menu under the [Avatar] icon in the top-right corner.

 

2. Enter the "Security Settings" page, click on [Manage] next to Passkey.

 

3. Click on [Add] to create a new Passkey.

 

4. Obtain and enter "Email Verification Code," and click [Next].

 

5. Perform 2FA verification based on your 2FA settings, then click [Next]. If you haven’t enabled any 2FA security tools, you will be redirected to Passkey setup.

 

6. Click [Create Passkey]

 

7. Complete the above instructions to bind a Passkey successfully.

 

Notes:

1. Each user can add up to 10 Passkeys.

2. For security reasons, the withdrawal services are prohibited for 24 hours after deleting/resetting a Passkey.
