CoinEx designs different maintenance margin ratios and maximum leverage for all trading accounts based on different positions, which reduces the possibility of large forced liquidation.
If some users have huge positions, they will pose risks to other users. If their positions are forcedly liquidated, other users may experience an automatic decrease on their position. The position gradation will help to avoid this, and it will increase the margin requirement for large positions.
The number of positions in either direction of each contract is calculated separately, and the maximum number of contract in the long or short position is used as the standard. For example, if there are 100000 contracts of long positions, 100000 orders of long position, and 300000 orders of short position, then the position at this level is 100001-1000000.
