What Should I Do When Withdrawal Is Suspended Due to Wallet Maintenance

What should I do when withdrawal is suspended?

CoinEx may temporarily suspend withdrawal services under certain circumstances. The duration of the suspension will depend on the specific situation. If withdrawals are suspended due to wallet maintenance, you can choose other available public networks for your withdrawals. Meanwhile, you can stay updated on the wallet service status through the following methods:

1. Click HERE to check the withdrawal service status for each cryptocurrency.

2. Turn on the “Withdrawal Resumption Reminder” on the withdrawal page. We will notify you as soon as the service resumes.

Note: Your withdrawals may be delayed during the wallet maintenance. You can cancel the withdrawal or withdraw via other available networks. If you are unable to cancel or have any other questions, please submit a ticket to contact us.

Why are withdrawal services suspended?

1. Network Upgrade

Network upgrades are typically initiated by the project team to improve blockchain performance, reduce gas fees, or fix technical vulnerabilities. In such cases, CoinEx will suspend withdrawal service for that network until the upgrade is completed and the network is stable.

2. Hard Fork

To protect your funds during a hard fork, CoinEx will temporarily suspend withdrawal services for the related networks until it is clear which chain will be the dominant blockchain for broadcasting transactions.

3. Smart Contract/Token Migration

Smart contract migration is the process of replacing old smart contracts with new ones on the blockchain network, while token migration is when a token is transferred from one blockchain to another. If a smart contract or token migration is required, we will temporarily suspend withdrawal services for the affected cryptos until the migration is completed.

4. Token Delisting

Before delisting a crypto, CoinEx will release an announcement in advance and gradually terminate withdrawals for that crypto.

Please refer to CoinEx Announcement Center: Assets > Delisting for more updates on the withdrawal page.

5. Airdrop Snapshot

CoinEx will suspend withdrawal services for specific crypto when capturing airdrop snapshots to guarantee all user balances are reflected precisely for fair reward distribution. Services will resume after airdrop rewards are distributed.

Please refer to CoinEx Announcements: Assets > Project Maintenance for more updates.

In addition to the scenarios mentioned above, CoinEx will also evaluate whether to suspend withdrawal services based on project security, market fluctuations, and other factors.
