Margin Auto Loan & Repayment

Characteristics

1. Auto Loan: A crypto loan will be automatically triggered when placing an order. It solves the problem in manual loans where excessive assets become idle assets.

2. Auto Repayment: When the available asset of certain coins is more than the assets to be repaid, [Auto Repayment] will be triggered. It solves the problem of manual repayment where excessive interest is charged due to delayed repayment.

Introduction to Auto Loan and Auto Repayment

1. What is Auto Loan?

Auto Loan: The system will automatically detect whether the crypto loan is needed when placing an order. If needed, the system will automatically borrow assets for you and complete the transaction.

Notes:

(1) A crypto loan will be automatically triggered when placing an order. The loan will still be successful even if the order is not filled.

(2) [Auto Loan] is only for [Limit] and [Market] orders.

Maximum Available Amount = available asset + maximum remaining borrow

2. What is Auto Repayment?

Auto Repayment: All your margin accounts will be reviewed every 30 minutes by the system.  When the asset available in the corresponding account is more than the asset to be repaid, auto repayment will be triggered.

Notes:

(1) Auto Repayment will be triggered immediately once it is enabled and [Auto Repayment] will be triggered every 30 minutes afterward.

(2) Amount of repayment = unpaid borrowed amount + unpaid interests

Step-by-Step Guide

2. Transfer

(1) Set the transfer direction from [Spot] to [Margin], confirm the coin type and enter the amount, then click [Confirm]. (e.g. transfer 100 USDT from Spot account to Margin account)

(2) After transfer, the maximum available amount = available assets + maximum remaining borrow.

For example, CoinEx supports 10X leverage for BTC/USDT, suppose the Index price of BTC is 16805.56 USDT, and your available asset is 100 USDT.

a. For the pricing coin, the amount you can borrow is 900 USDT, and the maximum available amount would be 100 USDT + 900 USDT = 1000 USDT

b. For the base coin, the amount you can borrow is 900/ 16805.56 = 0.0535537 BTC, and the maximum available amount would be 0 BTC+ 0.0535537 BTC = 0.0535537 BTC

3. Place an order to buy cryptos

Note: A crypto loan will be completed once the order is placed. (Take maximum leverage as an example)

5. Repayment

(1) After the order is executed, all margin accounts will be reviewed every 30 minutes by the system. If there are enough assets, the system will automatically carry out [Auto Repayment].

(2) You may choose to repay manually, if needed.

Go to [Margin] -> [Assets] page, find the trading pair that you'd like to repay for, and click [Repay] to repay manually.
